New Bolnore School
The competition to provide a new primary school in Bolnore Village has closed and WSCC has decided the new school will be built and has approved the only bid, which was from the Bolnore Schools Group. This dynamic group of Bolnore Village parents would like to hear from anyone who has a view on, or interest in, the new school. A Temporary Governing Body (TGB) has been formed, I am one of the LEA Governors on the TGB. The new school, which will be a single form entry initially accepting 30 pupils per annum, will open with one class co-located at St Wilfreds for a year. The new building will open in September 2010.
Princess Royal Hospital
I fully support the Save the PRH Campaign to retain full A & E and consultant led Maternity services at Princess Royal Hospital. Only a Conservative Government will protect our hospital from the Labour Government's hospital closure program. All three options for the future proposed by West Sussex PCT were unacceptable since they all proposed closing A&E and Maternity services at Princess Royal. The people of Mid Sussex have had a tremendous campaign and we now know we will retain the current range of A&E services at PRH. Now we must keep up the pressure to retain a full maternity unit.St Marks School, Staplefield
