Sports, Leisure & Recreation

I'm a keen cricketer and have been a member of Staplefield Cricket Club since 1985. I'm also a school Governor and am a great believer in promoting sports for all ages particularly for the young. I want to ensure the protection of rural sports facilities for the use of all members of the community. That's why it's important to find a solution to the parking problem along the Cuckfield Road at Whiteman's Green that frees up the pavements whilst allowing young people to continue to play football and rugby. I am working closely with Cuckfield Cosmos FC and Haywards Heath RFC towards this.

In Bolnore, I will continue to support the excellent work that has been done by Bolnore Village Residents Association (BVRA) in shaping the development of, and access to, the new Bolnore Village Sports Facility. This sports and leisure area must be developed sympathetically and must add to, not detract from the local residential environment. I will continue to support BVRA in their work towards creating the new Bolnore Community Centre.

In Ansty, I will continue to support and encourage the development of the Ansty Sports & Social Club and Ansty Village Hall, as they seek to renew their facilities.
