West Sussex Primary Care Trust West Sussex County Council has written to the Government offering to take over the West Sussex Primary Care Trust (PCT), which is the body which commissions health services for all of us in West Sussex - including hospital services. This move would simultaneously make the PCT more efficient and much more democratic and responsive to local needs and opinion.
West Sussex County Council was audited earlier this year by the Audit Commission and was rated as one of the top five performing county councils nationally.
A new bus service from Staplefield and Ansty to Burgess Hill has been launched by Cuckfield Rural Parish Council and Bluebird, running every Thursday morning. A return trip will cost just £1 from Staplefield, Orchard Way Warninglid and Ansty and will stop at The Triangle, Tescos and Burgess Hill Town centre before returning two hours later. To book you just call 01444 471919 beforehand and the bus will then collect you from your own home
